A Rare Case Report of Pseudomonas oryzihabitans Bacteremia from North India in a Terminally Ill Patient

Pseudomonas oryzihabitans is a gram-negative bacillus usually isolated from cases of bacteremia, CNS infections, catheter associated infections or any device related sinusitis, wound skin especially in immunocompromised patients hospital settings. Only few bacteremia have been reported due to this rare pathogen. This first case report North India terminally ill patient suffering chronic liver disease. Proper isolation and early initiation antibiotics as per sensitivity pattern cleared the infection, but later he died other complications. The need automated methods for identification testing limits reporting important pathogen Detailed research work studies are needed better understand its clinical manifestations outcome.
